Game Of Thrones, People v. O. J. Simpson Win Big At Emmys

The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards has wrapped up and Game of Thrones has reigned supreme yet again with a total of 12 awards in the Creative and the Telecast categories. The HBO series had 23 nominations.

Game of Thrones won for the Outstanding Drama, Writing, Production Design, Casting, Costumes, Direction, Makeup, Sound Mixing, Special Visual Effects, and Stunt Coordination in a Drama series.

As for The People v. O.J. Simpson, the miniseries was nominated in 22 categories. Courtney B. Vance won the award for the Best Actor in a Limited Series for the show, while Sarah Paulson picked the trophy for Lead Actress in a Limited Series. Sterling K. Brown won the trophy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series. People v. O.J. Simpson also won in the Casting for a Limited Series category and for Outstanding Limited Series.

In the other categories, Veep took the award for Outstanding Comedy Series for the second time in a row. Veep marks the return of Julia Louis Dreyfus, who was most popular for her role in Seinfeld before this. The actress took home her sixth Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

The Primetime Emmy Awards were hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and took place at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles yesterday.
